My Achievements

While obsessing over words, I found myself curious about the depth of their reach. How much can words move people? How can they be employed beyond their traditional function? And am I capable of using them to their full extent? En route to answer these inquiries, I began to enroll myself into different challenges to begin my exploration. This page highlights the achievements during this process. Since these questions continue to evolve into larger ones, this list continues to be updated!
International New York Times
An article I wrote about the importance of education was selected to appear in the International New York Times (as a result of being selected as a finalist for their competition titled, Word (World) of Yours.
Poetry chapbook: meraki
My teacher secretly sent a collection of my poetry to a book publisher. They were impressed by it and asked me if they could release it as a poetry chapbook; making me the youngest author published by the publication house.
Mentored by Sarah kay & phil kaye
I was the youngest spoken word poet selected to be mentored by world-renowned spoken word artists, Sarah Kay & Phil Kaye. The selection process was headed by Airplane Poetry Movement. At the end of mentorship, I performed my poetry at a spoken word show.
